Drainage and Erosion Control
Drainage and Erosion Control in Waco
Once the surface grade is right, the water still needs a place to go. Raahi builds the drainage that carries runoff off your property and holds the soil in place while it moves. Swales, French drains, catch basins, and graded outfalls are sized to how much water the roof and yard actually shed during a Waco storm, not to a one-size template.
Why It Matters
- Erosion costs you dirt. Uncontrolled runoff scours channels across a lawn and washes topsoil into the street. Silt fence, erosion blankets, and shaped swales keep the soil on your lot.
- Subsurface water needs a path. A French drain intercepts the water moving under the surface and routes it to a safe daylight point clear of the foundation.
- Outfalls have to land right. A drain that dumps against the neighbor’s fence just moves the problem. We grade the outfall so it releases where it belongs.
Our Process
We map the runoff path, confirm the fall to a low point, then trench and set the drain lines with proper bedding and backfill. On cuts five feet and deeper we slope, bench, or box the trench per OSHA before anyone works in it. Along New Road or across the Dean Highland neighborhood, the drainage is tied into the corrected grade so surface and subsurface water leave together.
